Wooden Architecture

The new restaurant, designed in the spirit of the wooden architecture of the XVII century, is constructed as buildings were built in the old days - to stand for more than one century, and the generation of new visitors to Lesnaya Zaimka will be added to the generations of her old faithful friends like annual rings on a tree trunk.

Log walls

Log walls

Looking at the logs, which compose the walls of the building, one wants to exclaim with admiration the words of Pushkin: "... level, the best of the best!" The logs are Siberian larch (known as Russian redwood throughout the world). Each log is just 30 cm in diameter.

The arches of the towers

The arched openings of the large hall reach a height of about 3.5 meters and the ceiling vaults to about 5 meters, creating a feeling of space and openness in the hall.

Oak parquet

Oak parquet

The main restaurant buildings have parquet flooring. Parquet, as is well known, is a very high-quality material, which requires sensitivity and skill in placement and gentle care. But anything else would have been a miserable compromise: Distinguished guests of Lesnaya Zaimka should walk exclusively on parquet floors!

Shining light

Shining light

Chandeliers pour a bright but soft light, which is woven into Lesnaya Zaimka's interior symphony as a solemn note. In the Burgundy and Emerald halls the chandeliers are exact copies of the chandeliers in the Kremlin Palace.

Doors to a fairy tale

Doors to a fairy tale

When a visitor comes to the doors of the main hall, the impression is created that behind them lies the living world of Russian fairy tales, and at any moment the Swan Princess will swim from behind a cover, and king Agey will appear with his retinue brandishing a scepter. The doors are fit for a mansion: They are the height of almost two humans, made of solid wood and decorated with decorative Russian carvings.

Moments of History

In 1974, Lesnaya Zaimka became a type of "calling card" of Vladivostok. Many important events took place between the walls of the restaurant, and it is considered one of the city's main attractions.

The Russian Bear

The brown bear "settled" in Lesnaya Zaimka almost from the restaurant's beginnings. He greeted guests at the entrance for many years, but over time tired of the festive noise and daily friendly hugs. He is now "resting" in the internal premises of the restaurant.

Lesnaya Zaimka has always been, and continues to be, the pride of the city. After its reconstruction the building has taken on a new life, but the tradition of food and ghost stories have been preserved. It is a unique place.
